Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement Policy has been in place for a number of years. Driven by our close working relationships with major clients in our State’s primary resource sectors, this policy demonstrates our commitment to building a strong and sustainable future for ourselves and the communities we operate in. Our focus in this area is guided by our strategic objectives to:
- Increase employment of Indigenous people within Orontide;
- Engage and support Indigenous suppliers; and
- Support Indigenous community groups and causes.
Our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was launched in August 2020. It reflects our Group approach to how we work with, engage and support Indigenous peoples and is consistent with our core Values. As a Reflect RAP, we acknowledge that it is the first stage in the RAP process and the next step in our journey towards making a meaningful difference to the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
