Long Term Engineering Services Contract

Orontide successfully completed work for six consecutive Black Carillon naval exercises, a critical training exercise incorporating a comprehensive submarine evacuation drill.  The Black Carillon exercise is carried out annually by JFD Australia, a world leader in the design, manufacture and operation of Submarine Rescue Systems.

Conducted off the coast of Perth near Garden Island, our location in Henderson provided easy access for the fabrication, installation and de-mobilisation of foundation work, structural rated beams and anchor points required on the decks of the defence vessels.

This work was carried out as part of an annual Contract where our Engineering Services Defence team were responsible for the mobilisation and preparation of complex mechanical equipment to be adapted to the relevant rescue vessels as well as structural modifications and tasks associated with the assembly of Subsea Rescue Systems and newly supplied equipment such as hyperbaric decompression systems and associated ROV rescue equipment.
