Extending the Life of Defence Assets Through Planned Maintenance

Our work in the Defence sector includes long-term contracts such as the ASMD and ANZAC Group Maintenance contracts and has seen us acknowledged for our ability to work in challenging environments and our vigilance towards safety and environmental considerations whilst working effectively with other contractors.

Since 2015 we have worked closely with Primes including NSM and BAE Systems to provide key maintenance and upgrade services for the Royal Australian Navy’s ASMD Capability Upgrade Programme.  Work was completed across all 8 of the ANZAC Class frigates and included mechanical preparation and preservation of decks, tanks, internal compartments and hulls as well as painting, blasting, application of specialised coatings and engineering services such as fabrication and welding.

Our experienced workforce produced outstanding results in all areas for this maintenance program including bilges/ballast/fuel tanks, habitable compartments, weather flight and hanger decks, machinery and artillery storage areas.

Our work in this area continues with contracts supplying these services for the second upgrade, the Anzac Midlife Capability Assurance Program (AMCAP), which sees 8 Anzac-class frigates undergo maintenance works over 8 years to extend their use until they are replaced with the new Hunter Class Frigates next decade.

We are proud to be part of the ongoing Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) and of the contribution we are making to Australia’s Anzac-class frigates.
