Orontide Leading Hand, Kydon, receives his Safety Recognition Award from BAE Systems and Naval Ship Management (Australia)

Orontide Leading Hand, Kydon (pictured far right) was presented with a Safety Recognition Award for his proactive approach to safety and risk management.  The award was presented jointly by BAE Systems and Naval Ship Management (Australia) as part of their monthly Safety Recognition Awards program in June.

Kydon’s efforts were recognised in conjunction with another Contractor for proactively consulting and reviewing a potential fall risk to determine and implement an effective management solution together.  In doing this, they ensured that the safety of personnel could be maintained at all times throughout the evolution of the activity.

Kydon is a valued member of the Orontide Industrial Services Team and received his award for work carried out on the ANZAC vessel, HMAS Warramunga.  This work is part of the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) upgrade program currently in progress at the BAE shipyards in Henderson.  Orontide has been engaged as a First Tier Supplier to NSM on the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) upgrade program since it commenced.
