Another successful Black Carillon submarine rescue training exercise has wrapped up!
Orontide has successfully completed work for its fourth consecutive Black Carillon naval exercise, a critical training exercise incorporating a comprehensive submarine evacuation drill. The Black Carillon exercise is carried out annually by JFD, a world leader in the design, manufacture and operation of Submarine Rescue Systems.
Conducted off the coast of Perth near Garden Island, Orontide’s location in Henderson provided easy access for the fabrication, installation and de-mobilisation of foundation work, structural rated beams and anchor points required on the decks of the defence vessels.
Orontide’s Engineering Services Team in Henderson, received recognition of a job well done from staff in JFD for their exceptional effort, quality of work and adherence to all safety policies demonstrated in the pre-engineering, installation, demobilisation and restoration phases of this job.
